What is Psychotherapy/Counselling?

Psychotherapy is an intervention that supports a client to heal, grow and understand themselves. A therapist will assess their clients' issues, needs and background and use therapeutic models such as CBT, person centred therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

Who is Psychotherapy/Counselling for?

Psychotherapy is for everyone who has a level of awareness and cognitive capacity to reflect and communicate. Talking therapy interventions can be offered to children (from 6 years old), adolescents and adults. Our Psychotherapist specialises in supporting neurodivergent individuals and practices Neuroaffirming care.

How is Psychotherapy/ Counselling carried out?

Psychotherapy is carried out in a face to face confidential setting or online via a video call. Sessions usually last 50 minutes and are weekly or fortnightly. Short term directive and long term non directive therapies are available dependent on the clients therapeutic needs.
